Use “Play Alarm sounds through speaker” for headphone users

In General settings, there is

  • Play Alarm sounds through speaker (iOS)
  • Play sounds through speaker (Android)

This feature is useful for those who want to enjoy the Lull Sound through headphones (earphones).
Android and iOS versions operate differently due to OS type and specifications of the devices. Follow the instruction appropriate for your device.

iOS

Play Alarm sounds through speaker = OFF (Default)

By default, while headphones are connected, you can make the alarms and the Lull sounds play through the headphones.

  • Lull Sound -> Play through headphones
  • Alarm Sound -> Play through headphones

This settings is useful if you don’t want to wake up your family members sleeping nearby with the alarm (but be careful with the alarm volume!). However, the headphones must keep in your ears from the time you fall asleep until you wake up.
What if the headphones fell out of your ears while you are asleep? It may be difficult to wake up to the low-pitched alarm sound coming from the earphones when the alarm time comes.

Play Alarm sounds through speaker = ON

If the earphones could fall out of your ears, turn the “Play Alarm sounds through speaker” ON. By doing so, you can:

  • Lull Sound -> Play through headphones
  • Alarm Sound -> Play through the device’s speakers

Android

Play sounds through speaker = ON (Default)

By default, while headphones are connected, you can make the alarms and the Lull sounds play through:

  • Lull Sound -> play through headphones
  • Alarm Sound -> play through the device’s speakers and the headphones

Even if the headphones fell out of your ears while sleeping, the alarm sound will be played from the device’s speakers. If you are using sealed headphones, you will hear the alarm sound clearly through your headphones (but be careful with the volume!)

Play sounds through speaker = OFF

If you turn of “Play sounds through speaker”, both Lull Sound and Alarm sound will be played through the headphones.

  • Lull Sound -> Play through headphones
  • Alarm Sound -> Play through headphones

This settings is useful if you don’t want to wake up your family members sleeping nearby with the alarm. However, the headphones must keep in your ears from the time you fall asleep until you wake up.
