Quick Alarm for Frequent Napping

Use Quick Alarm for frequent napping

Do you take a nap?
The author does not take naps very often, but some people may need to take a nap because of work, while others may practice power naps on a regular basis.
To wake up from your nap, we recommend “Quick Alarm”.

Set the amount of time in Quick Alarm.

The alarms usually goes off at a specified time, such as “7:00 a.m.”. On the other hand, “Quick Alarm” goes off “the amount of minutes” later, for example, if you set 20 minutes, the alarm goes off “20 minutes later”.
However, it’s very easy to use.

  1. Select “Quick Alarm” in MENU.
  2. Set the amount of time until the alarm goes off.
  3. Once you set the time, the quick alarm will be added to the alarm list on the Alarm screen. The following picture shows the “20 minutes” Quick Alarm has been added.

And then, tap the “Bedtime” button (to learn more about sleep logging for naps, check this article).

Advanced settings are also available.

You can set the advanced settings such as alarm volume, alarm sound, and snooze by tapping the alarm list in Quick Alarm. However, the repeat feature is not available since this alarm goes off after a certain length of time.

This is not suitable as a timer.

Because of the mechanism of JUKUSUI, the alarm is triggered at the time of 0 seconds each time.
Please note that this may result in a time gap of less than one minute, depending on when the alarm is turned on.
Quick Alarm is similar to a timer, but this is not suitable for measuring the time accurately in seconds.

By the way, what is Power Nap?

The power nap is a short nap. It is said that a short nap refreshes your brain and improves learning and work efficiency.
Generally speaking, the power nap would be:

  • It shouldn’t exceed 30 minutes (20 minutes is the best).
  • Don’t lie down, but sleep in a chair.

If you take a nap for more than 30 minutes, or lie down for a nap, you may fall into sleep in earnest, and if that happens, you will be too sluggish to get up and you can’t refresh your mind and body.
The power nap may be a good idea if you are temporarily feeling sleepy, but it is also said that it doesn’t pay off Sleep Debt.
We believe that one of the most important things is getting enough and adequate amount of sleep on a regular basis.
